<kan17-fieldhole2001>  -- Dermal ridge smears across the footwear made by the hallux.  These are the actual surviving two pieces of compressed clay soil that were compressed by the extended hallux.  The lower piece has that tension split caused by the toe that smeared the dermal ridges across the same piece.  If one puts fingers together on a flat surface and then stretch out the thumb at a 45-deg. Angle, this would be the approximate position of the five toes of the footprint.  Both pieces can be located in the <kan1-anointed> and <kan15-tipo120hallux> photos
